merry christmas peeps! hanny's tag is always a cue for me to update, cos she usually tags at pretty appropriate moments. haha.
im back from one hectic week - basketball adventure trip to perak, family shopping trip to kl, and basketball farewell at treetops. everything was loads of fun, will post photos soon, once i get everything from the faithful photographer niying ;)
school's finally starting. i guess i get the same feeling every year, im excited to go back to school, yet i dread the work that lies ahead. oh well.
xmas dinner at khimmy's house later!! im going to mess her room up, litter it with rubbish and smear it with filth since she's not going to give me chocolates. hahaa. ;DD
time is ticking away as i sit in the office of ymca. i am so free, with absolutely nothing to do. i am free to do anything - play games, change my blog template (to the one you see now), blog, make milo, blah. just not free to walk away. ;(
i thought of doing my homework, but apparently i dont bring the whole chunk around. i wanted to write my reflections/report for this whole internship, then i realised i dont have the guidelines.
well, just a few points to note.
1. i was actually excited about this whole thing, before it started of course. this whole internship is such a scam. before i even went for the interview, i was led into thinking that my job scope would be helping to plan/facillitate a children's camp. and that my work hours would be from ten to six. when i arrived unsuspectingly at ymca, horrors of horrors, my hours would be until six thirty! horrors of horrors, my pay would be $300/month, equivalent to $15/day! horrors of horrors, this will be pooled into the earnings of all interns and shared equally! horrors of horrors, my first task was to give out flyers! horrors of horrors, i was (and still am) stuck doing data entry, or absolutely nothing! oh, the the biggest horrors of all, there seem to be no existence of the supposed children camp! well, i checked at the school's notice board again, and they cleaned their tracks. no sign of cheating this poor innocent girl. working hours stated was changed accordingly, and the children camp disappeared. in its place is, to give assistance in any areas they require, which blatantly means, to do all their data entry and saikang! oh my. my first point is ample to prove this a horrific experience!
2. well, this is a sports internship. unless they count data entry finger exercise, there is really nothing sporty about this whole job experience. oh, wait. now i have a sporty bit of experience. i single-handedly carried $113.80 worth of delifrance pastries from plaza singapura to ymca! it was such a sporting challenge, and gave my biceps a tremendous workout! i am being unquestionably serious, for my muscles did ache the day after.
alright, i dont have that many bad points to note afterall. just that the very few flaws are very huge ones. i shall move on to the better parts of the internship and end off. i mean, my pw tutor once very wisely told us to end off our insights and reflections on a positive note. and i vaguely remember that i concluded my i&r with something that goes like this - "project work is a wonderful learning journey that i would love to go on again." -beams at my positivity.
3. the people are pretty decent, when they dont think that my work is childish. well, i got free lunches, free drinks. whatever they buy me is free, cos either they dont accept my payment, or i conveniently forget to pay them back. kudos to my direct supervisor, jane, for she always let me off earlier than im supposed to leave. there was a day, when i was extremely pissed at all the data entry i have to do, and i supposed it was written all over my face. but i guess she thought i wasnt feeling well, so she asked me to go home at four plus, when i was supposed to stay till eight on that day.
4. what i've actually learnt. okay, i think i will leave this till when i actually start writing the report.
i predict that i will fall sick on wednesday. and i predict that i will be a happy girl that day. ;D

i am so miserable. i want to just shout it all out, but i cant bring myself to talk.
im not sick, im not tired. there's no point telling me to rest, i simply hate the job.why do moe stop giving out scholarship awards to jc students. are we less deserving? and it has to come at this time. when i need money the most.
what did i do to my life? its all my goddamn fault.

RULES OF GAME
1. post 5 weird/random stuffs about yourself
2. at the end of the quiz list the names of 5 people who you want next to do this and leave a comment "you are tagged" in their blog and tell them to read your blog for rules.
oh well. since i got tagged by sam, and its a good way to blog about recent stuff, i shall play this random game ;)
5 weird/random stuff about me:
1) i hate people insulting my work.at my internship, i was given the task of designing booklets. they wanted me to 'excite' the fonts (whatever that meant), so i just played around with the fonts. most were quite difficult to read, so i just settled on comic sans. but it was too childish for them. alright, i agree. so i played around somemore, and used a font that apparently was too wriggly. alright, that i agree too. in the end, the font that they finally accepted was times new roman. how very exciting indeed!
of course, i need to design the cover page too. i found several cool skiing pictures, but they were afraid of copyright laws. okay, reasonable. so they told me to use clipart. well i did, with a little photoshop and stuff, it turned pretty okay.

i mean, its not ugly right?! but no, clipart's too childish for them. so instead, they used some picture (which i seriously hope is copyrighted) for the coverpage. i absolutely believe that my cover was a whole lot better. but well, its not MY booklet, they can have their way. whatever.
2) i think fred and george are hot.hahaa, just a random thought that popped into my head.
3) i like twins, cos its double the goodness! -points above
4) i think harry potter and the goblet of fire has really brilliant music.hahaha, this is totally random. but i really loved the music. i think im gonna get the soundtrack. well, thats lots more that i can say about the movie, but i guess everyonne pretty much said it for me. the director shouldnt cut so many parts, i mean, the show's only two and a half hours. just add somemore plot, three hours wouldnt kill. but everyone should quite whining about the left-outs. there's not much loss in leaving out dobby and winky, i dont really want to watch hermoine forcing people to buy her SPEW badges.
5) minesweeper should be included in the world cyber games.thats because im totally addicted to it. hahaha. ;))
Next 5 people to do:
yick wanjie
alex goh
agacha soh
tan zhu en
ho khimrong
