when the prelims ended, i had about three weeks before school close ends officially for me. i didnt thought graduation day would come so fast, and go so quickly. today was spent cam-whoring. two whole periods in the morning were spent taking photos with the class. ive uploaded my pictures, but im gonna check what i missed out on and add it to my photo album before i publish it. its going to be exciting, the total photo count stands at 136 now ;)
graduation concert was really quite a flop, maryam's the only saving grace. it was no walk to remember. the auditorium was completely dry. im totally serious. what kind of graduation ceremony is it if there's no tears?! the highlight of the concert probably was right at the end, when (i think) more than three quarters of the school was singing the school song loudly with pride. i love school songs ;)
yeap, so it has officially ended. when i first stepped into temasek, i thought it was going to be a long two years. at the end of year one, i realised that time really flies. my 2006 new year resolution was to treasure every moment so i will not come to regret. i think i did treasured all the fun and joy. no regrets. now its time to settle DOWN and mug.
DAMN IM EIGHTEEN. just a few days ago, i had a conversation with kiki which went to like that...
kiki: the depart is four and a half stars and its M-18!!!
me: (totally crushed) OMG dammit
kiki: you damn what damn, you're turning 18 in two days!
me: (suddenly brights up) THAT'S RIGHT MAN!
but now im eighteen. i feel old. and i hate birthdays. my theme song this year is jay chou's and wendy lam's duet 'zhu wo sheng ri kuai le'. pathetic i know. my birthday spent alone. but nonetheless, let me highlight some things worth highlighting.
dinner with the bballers yesterday at astons specialities was great! really had a wonderful time. its like heaven compared to today. even though i almost had to beg for my presents?! STUPID HKR. YOU SUCK! after that we went bowling, which was so damn hilarious. we did all sorts of shit, roll the ball, shoot the ball, kick the ball, BLAH. the two guys next to our lane nearly died when i hit nine pins down by rolling the ball really slowly. hahaha.
lunch with family today was alright. we had seafood, and i got a crab claw that was almost as big as my hand!
my mini shopping trip to buy myself presents wasnt too bad. i got myself a tshirt and a belt! i feel like a freaking spendthrift. say hello to paul frank.
birthday wishes from ppl really made my day. the absolute absolute first person is CHERLYN PHUA, who wished me on 1st october. (i think you can get a sense of how excited ppl are for my birthday to come.) a lot of ppl like wishing me before my birthday actually comes. peixun wished me the day before. arvin tang couldnt stay up late enough to wish me. you get the idea. let me announce the top ten list (after the clock struck 12), cos it contains some surprises! in no particular order (like how they do it for the top ten artistes at the Star Awards), kiki, zhiyong(s), mat, joanne, jonny, aga, lihuan, monica, mich and chuancheng. hahaha. surprises kept to the last yeah. jason claims that i will get a sms at 11.59 (that's his so-called style), so we'll see.
i got a few phone calls, the most hilarious one being the one from sean. he almost busted my ears with his rendition of 'happy birthday', but i still appreciated it!
to
SAMANTHA LEE, i have already very politely replied your birthday greetings and even drop you tips on how to study econs!
(you're not the only one with big font!)
i think there's no need to elaborate on how bad the day was. someone just brought my day to a whole new low, and he's pretty happy about it. im so freaking blind. i dunno how i choose my friends. because im still waiting for my best friends to wish me happy birthday. funny how some ppl you dont really care about remembers and vice versa?
but as old cock said, we are lucky. consider the starving african kids. consider the girls being forced into prostitution. consider the disabled. consider everyone else, i am lucky. i guess?
and a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who made the day a better one. it could have been worse. THANK YOU GUYS!

EDITED (because HKR thinks that every mrs ho is her mother)
im in a totally boyband music mood. nysnc, westlife, the moffatts, blue, blah. but BACKSTREET BOYS OWNS THEM ALL. im such a goofy boyband fan. my love for bsb was revived one day when i heard 'i want it that way' on the radio and a very exciting boyband chat with my classmates. we're all big bsb fans! hahaha. i went home to look for my millenium album, but its MIA. so are a lot of other old cds. BIG FAT SIGH.
the haze is so bad, the psi exceeds 100 so frequently. i never remembered singapore going over 50 so often in the past. i miss my clean singapore.
yesterday's lunch treat from mrs ho (NOT HKR'S MOTHER) was great. 8 large pizzas and dozens of wings and drumlets from pizza hut, BIG YUM YUM. arvin himself admitted to eating FIVE SLICES OF PIZZA!! PIG. anyway, lunch was really fun. lots of gossiping with the teacher. everyone sitting on her side had their love lives thrown out. she even heard the untrue version of mine, thanks to my wonderful classmates. but matty got the worst hit, poor boy. the whole class was building abs laughing lah.
later on, we had a mini talent time show. we've got jonny's hilarious imitation of fyc and arlene's chinese accent speak. peixun did her duck-quacking, and chuancheng very reluctantly accompanied her by duck-walking. i dunno if you considered duck-walking a talent, but it must be really hard to do, since he gave the lamest excuse of not knowing how to duck-walk trying to get out of doing it. evan ho did the salsa with sean, it was funny watching her direct him when he's the pro. and then, i got pushed to attempt the salsa. it was horrible, im not dancer material? kiki got saboed next, and she definitely dance better than me lah. the closing act was the best - zhizhan's and weldon's pole dancing. i love zhizhan's guts ;D
class lunches like that rock. we need to have more of them. and we ABSOLUTELY have to invite mrs ho. she's the life of the party! hahaha. i'll miss eleven.

have you ever felt like talking to someone so badly, yet when you approach him, youre stumped. everything you wanted to say vapourised, anything that was ever in your mind disappeared.
