hey, havent updated in awhile. well, went for two camps, union camp and bowen camp.
UNION CAMP
super cui. oh well. but i met a few funky people, who would actually do this with me:
and i met someone very special - my first camp mirror! haha, he's the idiot who taught me the super retarded nanana crap. having him around in union camp was probably one of the perks. its always a warm feeling when someone 'xinyi oei' me. hahaha. im a camp freak now.
anyway, something random here. im in rocky, and rocky rocks.
BOWEN CAMP
my group flag! fishmallows, how about that. and it even has some link to my name, even though its tenuous. xinyi leads to fresh fish which leads to fishmallows cos some of them love marshmallows. hahaha.
lightstick flowers! so pretty.
here's my mirror, andrey alif ong jian long. the super long name boy who's just as crazy over lightstick flowers. hahahha!

im kinda into mambo now, under the influence of all the mambo kings and queens in campHA. will definitely head down one day, but i need time!
was just thinking about this, joining campHA really opened my eyes quite a bit. ive heard so many people wanting to chase their dreams, but never finding the courage to do so. but in campHA, i actually see people taking the plunge and i really respect them for that. and then i look at myself, sigh.

i think ive got too many things on my plate. tuition, driving, camps, friends and family, AHHHHH. and school's coming up too! i dunno what on earth possessed me to do so many things at one go, because im feeling a little burnt out. oh well.
my last camp fuchun sec was like urgh. it was like a shouting camp, i kept shouting at everyone. was feeling quite yucky then, but seeing comments from my jwss campers really made my day. looking forward to my next camp now!
met up with kiki on monday, together with aga and arlene. contrary to gaining weight (as all people should if they stay long-term in a western country), kiks actually lost weight and made us felt like singapore fatsos. had lunch at fishnco, it is so cheap, im never eating dinner there again.
then, met up with wanjie and the rest for dinner. haha, monday is meet the aussies day. wanjie brought her sister along, and luckily, she looks nothing like her! AHHAHA.
then it was off to bintan together with keli, sam, monica and fly. my first friends-only trip! we saw an elephant on the first night there! there was an indian wedding ceremony going on, hence the elephant.
sam was quite afraid that the elephant would trample all over her, hahahha! oh yeah, as we sat by the beach bar, there was a sudden surprise of fireworks! i think my luckiness must have rubbed onto them, hahha. for all those who don't know, they are a bunch of suay ppl. like, keli had diarhoea, mon had a fever, fly got her derdeng, sam had countless mosquito bites. but sam insisted that she's quite lucky, because despite the many mosquito bites, shes still dengue-free! optimism to the max ya.
we woke up early the second day to watch the sunrise, only to have the sun being blocked by the clouds. oh well. but it was still beautiful!
charlie's angels! heh.
never letting go of an attempt to be lame, thats why we're twc!
spent the rest of the holiday slacking in the pool and by the beach. sam thought of new styles to do body-surf! for those interested, im sure she'll be more than enthusiastic to share her ideas. hahahha. oh yeah, we did jet-ski too! a tad expensive, but it rocked like hell. and we attempted paint-ball, which was an utter waste of money. really.
and a nice group photo before we left.
hung out with ben at my favourite place, the coffee bean and tea leaf! i really missed the food a lot, i mean, for a big part of last year, i either had a coffee or a cheesecake everyday!
my belgium chocolate which tasted like crap.
for those who hang out with me enough, you should know my obsession with the 'food' mode in my camera, haha. for all those who didnt believe that the 'food' mode does make food looks better, LOOK AT THIS!

headed to the ndp preview with kim yesterday, we were so bored, we ate to entertain ourselves. hahaha. the guy at the goodie bag counter asked us how many buns we wanted, and happily gave us three each even though we said one each would be enough. he must have seen the boredom coming, haha.
the very cool parachuters, i have to try it one day.
i always feel a surge of pride whenever they bring the flag out like that, dont laugh at me.
and the usual five-plane display!
actually the ndp was pretty cool, i liked the way they made use of the elements around. i loved the dynamic defense display, the navy finally gets to show off! hahaha. and of course the fireworks, always the best part of the parade.
coming up next:
1. tuition -groans
2. joann's birthday party!

4. an 11o5 outing, hopefully?
5. bowen camp! i hope it'll be a good one, since i probably wont have time to do anymore for a long long time.
