hello everybody, xinyi's still alive! in a mood for a super long and naggy entry, so watch out. image-heavy too ;)
school's been hectic, many deadlines to meet, presentations to prepare, tutorials to do (even though i hardly touch those), hall activities, and when all has finally came to an end, its the exams! im not sure if im even an engine student, with most of my time spent doing projects rather than integrating vectors and finding out weird stuff that i have on use for. but im much freer now, left with just one project, one block supper and five exams to deal with.
hmm, lets just talk about the major events that happened, the most important one being my birthday! i thought it would be a quiet one spent at home, but it turned out to be great ;D the day started with a yummy birthday cake from secret recipe, the chocolate really rocks! im a choco-addict ;D
then, hung out with my twcsters loko and mon at the ever-so-cool place, TAMPINES MALL!
loko baked me cupcakes, so sweet, awww. (who knew she could bake?! ;x)
dont ask me why, but i just thought we should go there since i havent been there in like forever. and then, i got reminded why i dont hang out there (because its freaking boring if you don't know!) but we found something fun to do nonetheless. it was something i've always wanted to do, so we decided to thicken our skins and go ahead!
beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and this is not hideous!
after that, i met up with andrey at bishan, only to go back to parkway! dont ask me why we did that, i dont know either. but it was great, catching up and all ;)
everybody loves gerberas, no? and these are so pretty!
after that, had to go back to hall for some meeting (how loserish right, having meetings on your birthday!) after i got back from meeting, i was pleasantly surprised to have kim sitting in my room! it was really nice, and she made me this!
but other than the surprise, i had a shock at the transformation of my room. lets just say it has been covered with stuff, hardly an inch of space left. just a preview, this was on my ceiling.
if you want to see more, you can visit me at 20 heng mui keng terrace. hahaha, but some of it has fallen off already, and im not tall enough to stick them back, oh well.
okay, so after kim, i was called out of my room, only to have icecream mooncakes (leftovers from mooncake festival) as my birthday cake, because they were too poor to buy a proper cake. and i innocently believed that, and pengfei the blockhead happily smashed my face into the mooncakes. worst thing is? it is durian flavoured. eewww. i mean, durian is nice to eat, its just not as good when its all over you. then i had a proper cake, which they later spiked with vinegar and made me eat it, hahha. and when i thought everything was over, there was another cake in my room! lighted with fake candles, you know, those that will relight by themselves, so you blow and blow till you die and they will still be there. it was really great, really appreciated the effort that everyone put in ;D thanks block comm + hianyi, especially the masterminds!

hmm, so thats the end of xinyi's grand 19th birthday. heading on the the 20th! oh yah, i saw an adidas bag that i really like, so HINT HINT HINT HINT HINT! hahahha!
oh yeah, went to nadiah's place to celebrate hari raya. the food was good! malay food always rock ;) had loads of fun eating and talking and cam-whoring!
so glad that most of my hall activities have ended, october was really tiring, with so many events to plan. night cycling, jts supper and fright night all packed in two weeks, enough to kill. packed with trainings and school, im surprised im still alive!
have been missing camps a lot, so i helped out at de la salle's camp for a day. initially i thought there was not enough instructors, but so many people went back to help, i think there were at least 10 other instructors hanging out just for fun! didnt exactly like the kids, but i still went back for campfire the following night cos i really missed it. jumping around like monkeys, doing funny actions and pretending we're dancing, cheering at the top of our lungs and all those fooling around.
it was tiring, but it was heart-warming to see the campHA ppl again. the nabei gang (jinger, yijia and ruilong), ben, eunice, ridhwan, kent, kokchoy, mojo blah blah. even people i havent seen in ages were there, like my very first mirror JASPER. and the new people i've met, tianyi and ezar. really looking forward to going back and doing camps all over again next may ;) love the people i've met at campHA. the only sad thing about it is that i'll never see some people in red again. but at least i'll have the memories and the things i've learnt from them in my heart ;) well, hopefully when i go back next time, i wont be too out of touch!
and at least, the nabeis are still there! just missing our nabeh potty ;(

you might not believe this, but this is the interior of bus 151. I AM SERIOUS! its the coolest bus ever! ira ao comfy and so posh, its probably the mercedes of buses. hahha. went out with my uni classmates on deepavali to celebrate (not deepavali!) the end of our projects! we went to hanabi (japanese buffet) somewhere in bukit timah. not much of a raw food person, so cant say much. but there wasnt much variety, kinda disappointed. but the company was cool, how many people actually have uni class outings?! kuishinbo next time, hopefully!
i finally bought new shoes yesterday! brand new asics, i think i can run faster now! hahaha, its a psychological effect huh? but i love my new asics, im gonna name them bluey. HAHAHA. i think im super corny lah.
but you know they say you'll have feelings for your old shoes? well, i still love my two years old asics deep deep, no matter how crappy they already are!
yesterday i visited my aunt's place and had loads of fun with my little cousins! i love joshie
and i love gerald ;)
im kinda rethinking my path in uni, whether this is the route i want to take. again, its the battle of interest versus practicality. but for now, im back to hitting my books, after a whole week's of resting ;(
